Established in 1979, Saudi Public Transport Co. (SAPTCO) was created to manage and provide better transport services to the people of Saudi Arabia. Operational throughout the year and around the clock every day, SAPTCO has established terminals in leading cities across the Kingdom.

SAPTCO manages a well-coordinated convoy of about 3000 buses that carry out around 579 trips on a day to day schedule. The buses ply through an intricate network of local routes that ensure public transport is efficient and accessible to the Saudi public. SAPTCO makes travel over 600 destinations across villages, towns and cities readily accessible across the Kingdom. The buses themselves are marvels of the latest designs that accommodate numerous capacities and are found in a range of sizes and luxury.

International trips to countries around the Kingdom are conducted on a daily basis as well. Frequent trips are scheduled to places like Bahrain, U.A.E., Kuwait, Yemen, Qatar, Jordan, Sudan, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon. Within the Kingdom, SAPTCO operates across 10 important business city centres namely, Dammam, Makkah, Riyadh, Madinah, Taif, Jeddah, Abha, Gaseem, Tabuk, and Hael. Special transport facilities to Holy places are conducted during times of Ramadan and Hajj.

SAPTCO carries VIP and charter bus services, in addition to operating college and school transportation.
